Some are not — because they need to leave a gate open while they load, run their own vehicle movements at odd hours, hold something they would rather nobody could walk past, or simply want the site to look and feel like their depot rather than a space they rent.
A compound is the answer to that: an exclusive-use plot inside our perimeter, fenced and gated in its own right, that only you and your people enter. It sits behind the site's own security, so you get two layers rather than one.

That means you can take a compound for the length of a contract and hand it back when the contract ends, which is not something a landlord will usually entertain.
