The Importance of a Secure Yard
Yard security is often sold as a list of features — a fence, a camera, a light — but those are the easy part. What really decides whether a yard is secure is what happens when someone climbs the fence at two in the morning, and how quickly. Why detection matters more than cameras
A camera on its own is a record of what you lost. It is genuinely useful afterwards — for the insurer, and sometimes for the police — but it does not stop anything happening, because nobody is watching a screen at three in the morning.
Detection changes the order of events. Something crosses the perimeter, an alarm is raised there and then, and there is a response while it is still happening rather than a phone call the next morning. That is the difference between security that documents a theft and security that interrupts one.
